Correct Answer: (1)

Solution: (1)

$(A+B)$ ’s 5 days’ work $=5\left(\frac{1}{10}+\frac{1}{15}\right)$ $=5\left(\frac{3+2}{30}\right)=\frac{5}{6}$

Remaining work $=1-\frac{5}{6}=\frac{1}{6}$

This part of work is done by $C$.

$\therefore$ C’s share $=$ Rs. $\left(\frac{1}{6} \times 450\right)$ $=$ Rs. 75

Work done by $A=\frac{5}{10}=\frac{1}{2}$

$\therefore$ A’s share $=\frac{1}{2} \times 450$ $=$ Rs. 225

$\therefore$ B’s share $=$ Rs. $(450-225-75)$ $=$ Rs. 150
