Correct Answer: (1)
Solution: (1)
According to the question,
Time taken by $A=3 x$ days
Time taken by $C=2 x$ days
Now, $(A+B)$ ’s 1 day’s work $=\frac{1}{18}$
$(B+C)$ ’s 1 day’s work $=\frac{2}{27}$
$\therefore \quad(B+C-A-B)$ ’s 1 day’s work $=\frac{2}{27}-\frac{1}{18}$
$\Rightarrow$ (C -A)’s 1 day’s work $=\frac{4-3}{54}=\frac{1}{54}$
$\Rightarrow \frac{1}{2 x}-\frac{1}{3 x}=\frac{1}{54}$ $=1 \div\left(\frac{40+60+24+15+30}{120}\right)$
$\Rightarrow \frac{3-2}{6 x}=\frac{1}{54}$
$\Rightarrow 6 x=54 $
$\Rightarrow x=\frac{54}{6}=9$
$\therefore$ Time taken by $A=3 x$ $=27$ days
