Correct Answer: (1)
Solution: (1)
Time taken by $A=24$ days
B is $20 \%$ more efficient than A.
$\therefore$ Time taken by $B$ $=\frac{24 \times 100}{120}=20$ days
$C$ is $25 \%$ more efficient than B.
$\therefore$ Time taken by $C$ $=\frac{20 \times 100}{125}=16$ days
$\therefore(B+C)$ ’s 1 day’s work $=\frac{1}{20}+\frac{1}{16}$ $=\frac{4+5}{80}=\frac{9}{80}$
$\therefore$ Required time $=\frac{80}{9}=8 \frac{8}{9}$ days
