Correct Answer: (4)

Solution: (4)

According to the question,

1 man $= 2$ women

7 men +6 women $=(14+6)$ women $= 20$ women

8 men +4 women $=(16+4)$ women $= 20$ women

$\therefore$ Work done by 20 women in 3 days $=\frac{3}{8}$

Remaining work $=1-\frac{3}{8}=\frac{5}{8}$

Again, 4 men +8 women $=(8+8)$ women $= 16$ women

$\therefore \frac{M_{1} D_{1}}{W_{1}}=\frac{M_{2} D_{2}}{W_{2}}$

$\Rightarrow 20 \times 8=\frac{16 \times D_{2}}{\frac{5}{8}}$

$\Rightarrow D_{2}=\frac{20 \times 8 \times 5}{16 \times 8}$ $=\frac{24}{4}=6.25$ days
