Correct Answer: (1)

Solution: (1)

After replacement of 12 litres of milk,

In 70 litres of mixture,

Quantity of milk $=58$ litres

Quantity of water $=12$ litres

Milk : Water $=58: 12=29: 6$

In 5 litres of mixture,

Quantity of milk $=\frac{5 \times 29}{35}=\frac{29}{7}$ litres

Quantity of water $=\frac{5 \times 6}{35}=\frac{6}{7}$ litre

On adding 5 litres of water, In the resulting mixture,

Milk : Water $=\left(58-\frac{29}{7}\right):\left(12-\frac{6}{7}+5\right)$

$=\left(\frac{406-29}{7}\right):\left(17-\frac{6}{7}\right)$

$=\frac{377}{7}: \frac{119-6}{7}$

$=377: 113$
