Correct Answer: (2)

Solution: (2)

A’s present age $=x$ years

According to the question,

$x-7=\frac{x}{2}+10$

$\Rightarrow x-\frac{x}{2}=10+7$

$\Rightarrow \frac{x}{2}=17$

$\Rightarrow x=34$ years

Again,

B’s present age $=y$ years

$\therefore \frac{y-4}{30}=\frac{2}{5}$

$\Rightarrow y=\frac{2}{5} \times 30+4$

$\Rightarrow y=16$ years

$\therefore C+12=3 \times(16-2)=42$

$\Rightarrow C=42-12=30$ years
