Correct Answer: (3)

Solution: (3)

Let the total retirement fund be Rs. 100.

$\therefore$ Amount given to wife, son and daughter $=$ Rs. 70

Ratio of the amounts given to wife, son and daughter $=7: 3: 4$

Amount given to son $=\frac{3}{14} \times 70$ $=$ Rs. 15

According to the question,

$\because$ When difference $=$ Rs. 15 ,

total amount $=$ Rs. 100

$\because $ When difference $=$ Rs. 31500 ,

total amount $=\frac{100}{15} \times 31500$ $=$ Rs. 210000
