Correct Answer: (1)

Solution: (1)

Let Dhiren’s monthly salary be Rs. 100 .

Investment in mutual fund $=$ Rs. 30

Expenditure on house rent $=\frac{70 \times 20}{100}=$ Rs. 14

$\therefore$ Expenditure on grocery $=$ Rs. 24

Expenditure on medicine $=$ Rs. 16

Savings $=100-(30+14+24+16) = Rs. (100-84)$ $=$Rs. 16

When savings is Rs. 16 , monthly salary $=$ Rs. 100

When savings is Rs. 4400,

monthly salary $=$ Rs. $\left(\frac{100}{16} \times 4400\right)$ $=$ Rs. 27500
