The respective ratio between the present age of son, mother, fa- ther and grandfather is 2:7:8:12. The average age of son and mother is 27 years. What will be mother’s age after 7 years?

According to the question,
$\frac{2 x+7 x}{2}=27 $
$\Rightarrow 9 x=27 \times 2=54 $
$\Rightarrow x=\frac{54}{9}=6$
$\therefore$ Mother’s age after 7 years $=7 x+7=7 \times 6+7=49$ years
