The difference between the sum of four consecutive odd numbers and three consecutive even numbers together is 20 . Also, the largest even number is 5 more than the largest odd number. What is the sum of the smallest odd number and the smallest even number ?

(2) 77

Let the consecutive odd numbers be :
$x, x+2, x+4$ and $x+6$
$\therefore$ Largest even number $=x+11$
and Other even numbers $=x+7$ and $x+9$
$\therefore x+x+2+x+4+x+6-$ $(x+7+x+9+x+11)=20$
$\Rightarrow x-15=20$
$\Rightarrow x=15+20=35$
$\therefore$ Required sum $=x+x+7$ $=2 x+7=2 \times 35+7=77$
