Miscellaneous Question 96
In each question, there are two different statements given as Quantity I and Quantity II. You have to consider the statements individually and mark your answer accordingly as per the given codes.
(1) Quantity I $>$ Quantity II
(2) Quantity I $<$ Quantity II
(3) Quantity I $\geq$ Quantity II
(4) Quantity I $\leq$ Quantity II
(5) Quantity I = Quantity II or relationship cannot be established (IBPS RRBs Officer CWE Prelim Exam, 13.09.2020)
- Quantity I : The perimeter of a triangle whose sides are $17 cm$, $13 cm$ and $23 cm$.
Quantity II : The perimeter of a square whose diagonal is $19 \sqrt{2}$ $cm$.
Show Answer
Correct Answer: 96. (2)
Solution: 96. (2) Quantity I :
Perimeter of triangle
$=(17+13+23)$ $ \mathrm{cm}$.
$=53 $ $\mathrm{cm}$.
Quantity II :
Side of square $=\frac{\text { Diagonal }}{\sqrt{2}}$ $=\frac{19 \sqrt{2}}{\sqrt{2}}=19$ $ \mathrm{cm}$
$\therefore$ Perimeter of square
$=4 \times 19=76 $ $\mathrm{cm}$.
Clearly,
quantity I < quantity II.
