In the given questions, two quantities are given. One as Quantity-I and another is Quantity-II. You have to determine relationship between these two quantities and choose the appropriate options as given below :

(3) Quantity-I $\leq$ Quantity-II
(4) Quantity-I $\geq$ Quantity-II
(5) Quantity-I = Quantity-II (or) relationship cannot be established

- Quantities :
I. values of $x$, if $6 x^{2}-23 x+20=0$
II. values of $y$, if $3 y^{2}-10 y+8=0$

Solution: 62. (4) Quantity I :
$6 x^{2}-23 x+20=0$
$\Rightarrow 6 x^{2}-15 x-8 x+20=0$
$\Rightarrow 3 x(2 x-5)-4(2 x-5)=0$
$\Rightarrow(2 x-5)(3 x-4)=0$
$\Rightarrow x=\frac{5}{2}$ or $\frac{4}{3}$
Quantity II :
$3 y^{2}-10 y+8=0$
$\Rightarrow 3 y^{2}-6 y-4 y+8=0$
$\Rightarrow 3 y(y-2)-4(y-2)=0$
$=(3 y-4)(y-2)=0$
$\Rightarrow y=\frac{4}{3}$ or 2
Clearly, Quantity I $\geq$ Quantity II
