Correct Answer: 47. (1)

Solution: 47. I. Required number of ways $=$ (All possible ways of selecting 4 persons out of total 11) -(number of ways of selecting no woman i.e, 4 men out of 5)

$=11 _{\mathrm{C} _{4}}-5 _{\mathrm{C} _{4}}=330-5=325$

II. Required number of ways $=$ (All possible ways of selecting 4 persons out of total 11) - (Number of ways of selecting no man i.e, selecting 4 women out of 6 )

$11_{C_{4}}-6_{C_{4}}=330-15=315$

Clearly, Quantity I $>$ Quantity II.
