The area of a square is 1444 square metre. The breadth of a rectangle is $\frac{1}{4}$th of the side of the square and the length of the rectangle is thrice the breadth. What is the difference between the area of the square and the area of the rectangle?

(1) 1152.38 sq.m.

(2) 1169.33 sq.m.

(3) 1181.21 sq.m.

(4) 1173.25 sq.m.

Side of square $=\sqrt{1444}=38$ metre

Breadth of rectangle $=\frac{1}{4} \times 38=\frac{19}{2}$ metre

Length of rectangle $=\frac{57}{2}$ metre

Required difference $=1444-\frac{19}{2} \times \frac{57}{2} $

$ =1444-270.75 $

$ =1173.25 \text { sq. metre }$
