II. $(81)^{\frac{1}{4}} y+(343)^{\frac{1}{3}}=0$

Directions : In the following questions two equations numbered I and II are given. You have to solve both the equations and give answer If

(1) $x>y$

(2) $\quad x \geq y$

(3) $x<y$

(4) $x \leq y$

(5) $x=y$ or the relationship cannot be established

Correct Answer: (1)

Solution: (1) I. $\sqrt{1225} x+\sqrt{4900}=0$ $\Rightarrow 35 x+70=0$

$\Rightarrow 35 x=-70 \Rightarrow x=\frac{-70}{35}=-2$

II. $\left(3^{4}\right)^{\frac{1}{4}} y+\left(7^{3}\right)^{\frac{1}{3}}=0$

$\Rightarrow 3 y+7=0 \quad\left[\left(a^{m}\right)^{n}=a^{m n}\right]$

$\Rightarrow y=\frac{-7}{3}$

Clearly, $x>y$
