$\Rightarrow 3 x^{2}-4 x-9 x+12=0$

$\Rightarrow x(3 x-4)-3(3 x-4)=0$

$\Rightarrow(3 x-4)(x-3)=0$

$\Rightarrow x=\frac{4}{3}$ or 3

II. $3 y^{2}-13 y+14=0$

$\Rightarrow 3 y^{2}-6 y-7 y+14=0$

$\Rightarrow 3 y(y-2)-7(y-2)=0$

$\Rightarrow(3 y-7)(y-2)=0$

$\Rightarrow y=\frac{7}{3}$ or 2
