Directions : In the following questions two equations numbered I and II are given. You have to solve both the equations and give answer If

Solution: (2) I. $8 x^{2}+26 x+15=0$ $\Rightarrow 8 x^{2}+20 x+6 x+15=0$ $\Rightarrow 4 x(2 x+5)+3(2 x+5)=0$
$\Rightarrow(4 x+3)(2 x+5)=0$
$\Rightarrow x=\frac{-3}{4}$ or $\frac{-5}{2}$
II. $4 y^{2}+24 y+35=0$
$\Rightarrow 4 y^{2}+10 y+14 y+35=0$
$\Rightarrow 2 y(2 y+5)+7(2 y+5)=0$
$\Rightarrow(2 y+7)(2 y+5)=0$
$\Rightarrow y=\frac{-7}{2}$ or $\frac{-5}{2}$
Clearly, $x \geq y$
