Correct Answer: (2)
Solution: (2) I. $4 x^{2}-32 x+63=0$
$\Rightarrow 4 x^{2}-14 x-18 x+63=0$
$\Rightarrow 2 x(2 x-7)-9(2 x-7)=0$
$\Rightarrow(2 x-7)(2 x-9)=0$
$\Rightarrow x=\frac{7}{2}$ or $\frac{9}{2}$
II. $2 y^{2}-11 y+15=0$
$\Rightarrow 2 y^{2}-6 y-5 y+15=0$
$\Rightarrow 2 y(y-3)-5(y-3)=0$
$\Rightarrow(y-3)(2 y-5)=0$
$\Rightarrow y=3$ or $\frac{5}{2}$
Clearly, $x>y$
