Answer: (3)

Solution: (3)

Initial quantity of mixture in the vessel $=x$ litres (let)

$\therefore$ In the vessel,

Apple juice $\Rightarrow \frac{3 x}{12}$ litres $=\frac{x}{4}$ litres

Orange juice $\Rightarrow \frac{5 x}{12}$ litres

Mango juice $\Rightarrow \frac{4 x}{12}=\frac{x}{3}$ litres

In 12 litres of mixture,

Apple juice $=3$ litres

Orange juice $=5$ litres

Mango juice $=4$ litres

On adding 8 litres of apple juice,

Apple juice in the vessel $=\frac{x}{4}-3+8=\left(\frac{x}{4}+5\right)$ litres

According to the question,

$\frac{x}{4}+5=\frac{5 x}{12}-5$

$\Rightarrow \frac{x+20}{4}=\frac{5 x-60}{12}$

$\Rightarrow x+20=\frac{5 x-60}{3}$

$\Rightarrow 3 x+60=5 x-60$

$\Rightarrow 5 x-3 x=60+60$

$\Rightarrow 2 x=120 $

$\Rightarrow x=60$ litres
