Correct Answer: (5)
Solution: (5)
Monthly expense on grocery $=\frac{96000}{12}=$ Rs. 8000
Grocery $:$ bills $=5: 6$
$\therefore$ Expense on bills payment $=$ Rs. $\left(\frac{6}{5} \times 8000\right)$ $=$ Rs. 9600
If the monthly income of Sunaina be Rs. $x$, then
Expense on grocery and bills payment $=$ Rs. $\frac{55}{100} x$
$\therefore \frac{55 x}{100}=9600+8000$
$\Rightarrow \frac{11 x}{20}=17600$
$\Rightarrow x=\frac{17600 \times 20}{11}=$ Rs. 32000
$\therefore$ Monthly investment in gold scheme $=$ Rs. $\left(\frac{32000 \times 30}{100}\right)= Rs. 9600$
