(1) Rs. 21000
(2) Rs. 27000
(3) Rs. 24000
(4) Data inadequate
(5) None of these
Show Answer
Correct Answer: (4)
Solution: (4)
A’s earnings $=$ Rs. $4 x$ (let).
B’s earnings $=$ Rs. $7 x$
A’s new earnings $=$ Rs. $\left(\frac{150}{100} \times 4 x\right)=$ Rs. $6 x$
B’s new earnings $=$ Rs. $\left(\frac{75}{100} \times 7 x\right)=$ Rs. $\frac{21 x}{4}$
$\therefore 6 x: \frac{21 x}{4}=8: 7$ $\Leftrightarrow \frac{6 x \times 4}{21 x}=\frac{8}{7}$
No result.
