Four years ago, the respective ratio between the age of Ram and that of Sonu, was $4: 9$. Tina is ten years older than Ram. Tina is ten years younger than Sonu. What is Tina’s present age?

Ram’s present age $=(4 x+4)$ years
Sonu’s present age $=(9 x+4)$ years
According to the question,
$4 x+4+10=9 x+4-10$
$\Rightarrow 4 x+14=9 x-6$
$\Rightarrow 9 x-4 x=14+6 $
$\Rightarrow 5 x=20$
$\Rightarrow x=4$
$\therefore$ Tina’s present age $=4 x+14$ $=4 \times 4+14=30$ years
