Correct Answer: (3)

Solution: (3)

C.P. of 40 dozens of notebooks $=$ Rs. $(50 \times 40)=$ Rs. 2000

S.P. of 10 dozens of notebooks= Rs. $\left(10 \times \frac{50 \times 115}{100}\right)$ $=$ Rs. 575

S.P. of remaining 30 dozens of notebooks $=$ Rs. $\left(\frac{30 \times 50 \times 125}{100}\right)=$ Rs. 1875

Total S.P. $=(1875+575)$ $=$ Rs. 2450

$\therefore$ Profit per cent $=\frac{2450-2000}{2000} \times 100=\frac{450}{20}=22.5 \%$
