Answer: (1)

Solution: (1)

‘C’s investment $= \text{₹} x$ thousand

$\therefore$ Profit ratio of A, B and C $=12 \times 24000: 12 \times 28000: 8 \times x \times 1000=36: 42: x$

Sum of the ratios $=36+42+x$ $=78+x$

$\therefore$ ‘C’s share $=\frac{x}{78+x} \times 19950$

$\Rightarrow \frac{19950 x}{78+x}=7600$

$\Rightarrow 1995 x=760 \times 78+760 x$

$\Rightarrow 1995 x-760 x=760 \times 78$

$\Rightarrow 1235 x=59280$

$\Rightarrow x=\frac{59280}{1235}= \text{₹} 48$ thousand
