A starts a business with an initial investment of ₹ 18000 . After 4 months, B enters into the partnership with an investment of ₹ 24000. Again after two months $C$ enters with an investment of ₹ 30000 . If $C$ receives $ \text{₹} 1845$ in the profit at the end of the year, what is the total annual profit?

Solution: (1)
Profit ratio of A, B and C $=(18000 \times 12):(24000$ $\times 8):(30000 \times 6)$
$=(18 \times 12)$ : $(24 \times 8):(30 \times 6)=18: 16: 15$
Sum of the ratios $=18+16+15$ $=49$
$\therefore$ If the total profit be 49 unit, then
C’s profit = 15 unit = Rs. 1845
1 unit = Rs. 123
$\therefore$ Total profit = 49 unit = 49 $\times$ 123 = Rs. 6027
