Let Mohan join the business after $x$ months.
According to the question,
$ \begin{aligned} & \frac{45000 \times 12}{30000(12-x)}=\frac{9}{4} \\ & \Rightarrow \frac{18}{12-x}=\frac{9}{4} \Rightarrow \frac{2}{12-x}=\frac{1}{4} \\ & \Rightarrow 12-x=8 \\ & \Rightarrow x=12-8=4 \text { month } \end{aligned} $
