- Consider the following equations
Quantity 1 : Values of $x$ :
$2 x^{2}-7 x+3=0$
Quantity 2 : Values of $y$ :
$4 y^{2}-8 y+3=0$

Solution: 92. (3) Quantity - 1 :
$2 x^{2}-6 x-x+3=0$
$\Rightarrow 2 x(x-3)-1(x-3)=0$
$\Rightarrow(2 x-1)(x-3)=0$
$\Rightarrow x=\frac{1}{2}$ or $3=0.5$ or 3
Quantity - 2 :
$\Rightarrow 4 y^{2}-2 y-6 y+3=0$
$\Rightarrow 2 y(2 y-1)-3(2 y-1)=0$
$\Rightarrow(2 y-3)(2 y-1)=0$
$\Rightarrow y=\frac{3}{2}$ or, $\frac{1}{2}$
$\Rightarrow y=1.5$ or, 0.5
