Give answer (3) if Quantity $1 \geq$ Quantity 2
Give answer (4) if Quantity $1 \leq$ Quantity 2
Give answer (5) if Quantity $1=$ Quantity 2 or relationship cannot be established

- Consider the following number series :
Quantity 1 : Value of $x$ :
20, 33, 50, 75, $x$
Quantity 2 : Value of $y$ :
$25,55, y, 235,475$

Correct Answer: 90. (2)
Solution: 90. (2) Quantity - 1 :
The pattern is :
$20+13=33$
$33+17(=13+4)=50$
$50+21(=17+4)=71$
$\therefore x=71+25(=21+4)=96$
Quantity-2:
The pattern is
$10+15=25$
$25+30=55$
$55+60=115=y$
$115+120=235$
$235+240=475$
Clearly, $x<y$
