Give answer (3) if Quantity $1 \geq$ Quantity 2
Give answer (4) if Quantity $1 \leq$ Quantity 2
Give answer (5) if Quantity $1=$ Quantity 2 or relationship cannot be established

- Consider the following number series :
Quantity 1 : Value of $x$ :
9, 28, 67, 121, $x$
Quantity 2 : Value of $y$ :
$25,40,70, y, 175$

Correct Answer: 89. (1)
Solution: 89. (1) Quantity - 1 :
The pattern is :
$\left(2^{3}+1\right)=9$
$\left(3^{3}-2\right)=25$
$\left(4^{3}+3\right)=67$
$\left(5^{3}-4\right)=121$
$\therefore x=\left(6^{3}+5\right)=221$
Quantity - 2 :
The pattern is :
$25+15=40$
$40+30=70$
$70+45=115=y$
$115+60=175$
Clearly, $x>y$
