Correct Answer: 14. (4)

Solution: 14. (4) Time taken in covering 7.5 km upstream $=\frac{2}{3}$ hours

$\therefore \quad$ Time taken in covering 7.5 $\mathrm{km}$ downstream $=\frac{3}{4}$ hours

Speed $=\frac{\text { Distance }}{\text { Time }}$

$\therefore \quad$ Rate downstream of the boat

$=\frac{7.5}{\frac{3}{2}}=\left(\frac{7.5 \times 2}{3}\right) \mathrm{kmph}$

$=5 $ $\mathrm{kmph}$

Rate downstream of the boat

$=\frac{7.5 \times 4}{3}=10$ $ \mathrm{kmph}$
