Correct Answer: (1)
Solution: (1)
Let, smaller parallel side $=x $ cm.
$\therefore$ Larger parallel side $=(x+4) cm$.
Area of trapezium $=\frac{1}{2}$ (sum of parallel sides) $\times$ perpendicular distance
$\Rightarrow \frac{1}{2}(x+x+4) \times 7=77$
$\Rightarrow 2 x+4=\frac{77 \times 2}{7}=22$
$\Rightarrow 2 x=22-4=18$
$\Rightarrow x=9 cm$.
$\therefore$ Larger side $=x+4=9+4$ $=13 cm$.
