The volume of a wall, 5 times as high as it is broad and 8 times as long as it is high, is $12.8 cu$. metre. Find the breadth of the wall.

Solution: (1)
Let width of wall be $x $ cm
$\therefore$ Its height $=5 x $ cm
$\therefore$ Length $=40 x $ cm
$\therefore 40 x \times 5 x \times x=12.8 \times(100)^{3}$
$\Rightarrow x^{3}=\frac{12.8}{200} \times(100)^{3}$ $=0.064 \times 1000000$ $=64000$
$\therefore x=\sqrt[3]{64000}=40 cm$
