Correct Answer: (3)

Solution: (3)

Circumference of circle $=\pi \times$ diameter $=\frac{22}{7} \times 56=176 cm$

$\therefore$ Perimeter of square $=272-176=96 cm$

$\therefore$ Side of square $=\frac{96}{4}=24 cm$

$\therefore$ Area of square $=24 \times 24$ $=576 sq . cm$.

Area of circle $=\pi r^{2}$ $=\frac{22}{7} \times 28 \times 28=2464$ sq.cm.

$\therefore$ Required sum $=(576+2464)$ sq. cm. $=3040$ sq. $cm$.
