Solution: (5) I. $x^{2}=36$
$\Rightarrow x=\sqrt{36}= \pm 6$
II. $y^{2}-6 y+9=0$
$\Rightarrow(y-3)^{2}=0 \Rightarrow y-3=0$
$\Rightarrow y=3$
