$\Rightarrow 2 x^{2}+6 x+9 x+27=0$
$\Rightarrow 2 x(x+3)+9(x+3)=0$
$\Rightarrow(2 x+9)(x+3)=0$
$\Rightarrow x=\frac{-9}{2}$ or -3
II. $2 y^{2}+7 y+6=0$
$\Rightarrow 2 y^{2}+4 y+3 y+6=0$
$\Rightarrow 2 y(y+2)+3(y+2)=0$
$\Rightarrow(2 y+3)(y+2)=0$
$\Rightarrow y=-\frac{3}{2}$ or -2
Clearly, $x<y$
