Solution: (5) I. $x^{2}=81$
$\Rightarrow x=\sqrt{81}= \pm 9$
II. $y^{2}+13 y+36=0$
$\Rightarrow y^{2}+9 y+4 y+36=0$
$\Rightarrow y(y+9)+4(y+9)=0$
$\Rightarrow(y+4)(y+9)=0$
$\Rightarrow y=-4$ or -9
