Solution: (3) I. $3 x^{2}+5 x+2=0$
$\Rightarrow 3 x^{2}+3 x+2 x+2=0$
$\Rightarrow 3 x(x+1)+2(x+1)=0$
$\Rightarrow(3 x+2)(x+1)=0$
$\Rightarrow x=-0.67$ or -1
II. $y=\sqrt{81}=9$
