Directions : In each of these questions, two equations I and II are given. Solve both the equations and select the appropriate answer from the codes given below.

Solution: (2) I. $3 x^{2}-8 x+4=0$
$\Rightarrow 3 x^{2}-2 x-6 x+4=0$
$\Rightarrow x(3 x-2)-2(3 x-2)=0$
$\Rightarrow(x-2)(3 x-2)=0$
$\Rightarrow x=2$ or $\frac{2}{3}$
II. $6 y^{2}-7 y+2=0$
$\Rightarrow 6 y^{2}-3 y-4 y+2=0$
$\Rightarrow 3 y(2 y-1)-2(2 y-1)=0$
$\Rightarrow(2 y-1)(3 y-2)=0$
$\Rightarrow y=\frac{1}{2}$ or, $\frac{2}{3}$
Clearly, $x \geq y$
