Answer: (2)
Solution: (2)
C.P. of article $=$ Rs. 100
$\therefore$ Its marked price $=$ Rs. $\left(100+\frac{200}{3}\right)$ $=$ Rs. $\frac{500}{3}$
Let, S.P. $=$ Rs. $x$
$\therefore \frac{1}{4}\left(\frac{500}{3}-x\right)=100-x$
$\Rightarrow \frac{500}{3}=400-4 x+x$
$\Rightarrow 3 x=400-\frac{500}{3}=\frac{700}{3}$
$\Rightarrow x=$ Rs. $\frac{700}{9}$
$\therefore$ Discount $=\frac{500}{3}-\frac{700}{9}$ $=$ Rs. $\frac{800}{9}$
If discount $=y \%$, then
$\frac{500}{3} \times \frac{y}{100}=\frac{800}{9}$
$\Rightarrow y=\frac{800}{9} \times \frac{3}{5}=\frac{160}{3}=53 \frac{1}{3} \%$
