Correct Answer: 50. (2)

Solution: 50. (2) Statement I gives no result. From statement II, Initial amount with Rajesh $=$ Rs. $x$

Expenditure on son’s wedding and wife

$=40 %$

Remaining amount $=\frac{60 x}{100}$

$=$ Rs. $\frac{3 x}{5}$

Expenditure from this amount $=(28+22+35) %=85%$ Remaining amount

$=15 %$ of $\frac{3 x}{5}$

$=\frac{3 x}{5} \times \frac{15}{100}=$ Rs. $\frac{9 x}{100}$

$\therefore \frac{9 x}{100}=450000$

$\Rightarrow x=\frac{450000 \times 100}{9}$

$=$ Rs. 5000000
