Give answer (4) if the data in both the Statements I and II together are not sufficient to answer the question.

Give answer (5) if the data in both the Statements I and II together are necessary to answer the question.

  1. What will be the number of revolutions of a wheel of a train?

I. The diameter of the wheel is 140 $cm$.

II. The train covers a distance of 880 metre.

Solution: 28. (5) From both statements Circumference of wheel

$=\pi \times$ diameter $=\frac{22}{7} \times 140=440 \mathrm{~cm}$

Number of revolutions

$=\frac{880 \times 100}{440}=200$
