Give answer (5) if the data in both the Statements I and II together are necessary to answer the question.
- What is the speed of train?
I. The train crosses a signal post in 24 seconds
II. The train is 350 metre long and it crosses a 750 metre long platform in 55 seconds.

Solution: 27. (2) From statement II Speed of train
$=\frac{\text { Length of (platform }+ \text { train) }}{\text { Time taken in crossing }}$
$=\frac{750+350}{55}=\frac{1100}{55}$
$=20 \mathrm{~m} / \mathrm{sec}$
