Show Answer
Correct Answer: 23. (4)
Solution:
- (4) From statement I,
$\mathrm{H}+\mathrm{G}+\mathrm{C}=65 \times 3=195 \ldots$…(i)
From statement II,
$\mathrm{G}=\mathrm{H}+6$
From statement III,
$\mathrm{G}-\mathrm{C}=\mathrm{C}-\mathrm{H}$
$\Rightarrow 2 \mathrm{C}=\mathrm{G}+\mathrm{H}$
$\Rightarrow 2 \mathrm{C}=\mathrm{H}+6+\mathrm{H}=2 \mathrm{H}+6$
$\Rightarrow \mathrm{C}=\mathrm{H}+3$
$\therefore \mathrm{H}+\mathrm{G}+\mathrm{C}=195$
$\Rightarrow \mathrm{H}+\mathrm{H}+6+\mathrm{H}+3=195$
$\Rightarrow 3 \mathrm{H}=195-9=186$
$\Rightarrow \mathrm{H}=\frac{186}{3}=62$
