The TATA car with single seat filled travels along the route C. After $\frac{3}{4}$ th distance was covered, the driver takes diversion into the half of the distance of route B to reach the city Y. What is the approximate total time taken by TATA car?

Solution: (5) Time taken by TATA car along route $C$
$=\frac{320 \times \frac{3}{4}}{240 \times 0.85}=1.18$ hours
$=1$ hour and 11 minutes
Time taken to cover the remaining distance along route $B$
$=\frac{280 \times \frac{1}{2}}{240 \times 82 \%}=0.7$ hour
$=42$ minutes
Total time taken $=1$ hour $53$ minutes
