Show Answer
Correct Answer: 347.(5)
Solution: (5) Number of qualified candidates in university $B=576$
Males $\Rightarrow 576 \times \frac{7}{16}=252$
Females $\Rightarrow \frac{576 \times 9}{16}=324$
Number of qualified candidates in university $C=672$
Males $\Rightarrow 672 \times \frac{13}{24}=364$
Females $\Rightarrow 672 \times \frac{11}{24}=308$
$\therefore$ Required answer
$=\frac{324+308}{2}+\frac{252+364}{2}$
$=\frac{632}{2}+\frac{616}{2}=316+308=624$
