Solution: (2) Qualified male candidates :
University D $\Rightarrow \frac{704 \times 3}{8}=264$
University $B \Rightarrow \frac{576 \times 7}{16}=252$
$\therefore$ Required per cent
$=\left(\frac{264-252}{252}\right) \times 100=\frac{1200}{252}$
$\approx 5$
