Solution: (2) Income of company $Y$ in $2007=$ Rs. $x$ crores.
$\therefore 35=\left(\frac{x-220}{220}\right) \times 100$
$\Rightarrow 35 \times 11=(x-220) \times 5$
$\Rightarrow 385=5 x-1100$
$\Rightarrow 5 x=1100+385=1485$
$\Rightarrow x=\frac{1485}{5}=$ Rs. 297 crores
