Solution: (3) Total population of state $P=$ $x$ millions
$\therefore$ Population below poverty line
$=\frac{35 x}{100}$
Female population
$=\frac{6}{11} \times \frac{35 x}{100}$
$\therefore \frac{6 \times 35 x}{1100}=2.1$
$\Rightarrow 6 \times 35 x=2.1 \times 1100$
$\Rightarrow x=\frac{2.1 \times 1100}{35 \times 6}$
$=11$ millions
$\therefore$ Population above poverty line
$=\frac{11 \times 65}{100}$ millions
$\therefore$ Male population
$=\frac{11 \times 65}{100} \times \frac{6}{13}=3.3$ millions
