Show Answer

Correct Answer: (1)

Solution: (1) Number of elephants in both reserves in 2002

$=42+28=70$

Number of African elephants

$=\frac{70 \times 40}{100}=28$

Number of elephants in both reserves in 2004

$=44+56=100$

Number of African elephants

$\Rightarrow 65 \%$ of $100=65$

Required difference

$=65-28=37$
