Solution: (5) Number of cars unsold in country C
$\Rightarrow$
$40000 \times \frac{10}{100} \times \frac{30}{100}=1200$
Number of cars unsold in country E
$\Rightarrow 40000 \times \frac{15}{100} \times \frac{40}{100}=2400$
$\therefore$ The required answer is $\boxed{12}$.
$=1200+2400=3600$
